Clay Club is Back!

Welcome to the official Clay Club Blog! We hope that you will all make use of this blog to keep connected and help Clay Club live on. Our most recent meeting was held at John Britt's studio on June 4. During that time, clay peeps in attandance kicked around some Clay Club ideas. Here's some of what we came up with:
- Hold Clay Club meetings the second Wednesday of each month (working around holidays) at a different Clay Club memeber's studio. All are welcome to volunteer to be a Clay Club meeting "Host."
-Meetings are potluck style, though it is not at all required that you bring something.
-The Host of the meeting selects a "topic"
Here's some ideas for topics, and we need more! :
-Show and Tell
-Being an Econmical Potter
-Clay Olympics
-Clay-related books
-Switcheroo- bring a bisque pot, another potter takes it to thier studio, glazes and fires it!
-Why potters are such nerds, VIP speaker John Britt ;)
-Experimental firings
-green glazing
-reduction cooling
-other ideas?

If you're not already on the email list contact John Britt at: jbritt@main.nc.us to get on it. Through email you'll receive access to posting on this blog, meeting updates and directions on how to get there.
So now, please join the blog! Intorduce yourself by uploading a picture of yourself, your work, and tell us a little about you!
