Intro To Sculpture With Mac McCusker

Oriented towards beginners and "seasoned" beginners, students will learn to sculpt by using a solid block of clay and a wooden paddle. Working from the larger areas to the smaller details, students will create several small animal sculptures before completing a larger piece. Sculptures will then be cut apart into multiple pieces, hollowed, and reassembled. Students will also learn how to use balance and dynamic poses when creating their sculptures. Drying, firing, and finishing techniques will also be discussed.
