Recap: November Clay Club at East Tennessee State University

Thanks to Lindsay Rogers and the East Tennessee State University Student Ceramics Association for hosting our first out-of-state Clay Club! It was great to get the chance to meet up with a terrific group of potters and ceramic artists at ETSU. A number of folks made the trek from Western North Carolina (and John Britt talked to a couple on their way from Indiana to Asheville who stopped for the meeting - I think they win the prize for farthest travelers, maybe in the history of Clay Club!).

The ETSU ceramic studio is a pretty sweet facility. Lindsay gave us a tour of the Art Annex building where it is housed, including the kiln pad and the newly-revamped glaze room. You can learn more about the program here: https://www.etsu.edu/cas/art/areas_of_study/ceramics.php

Check out ETSU Ceramics on facebook and instagram, too.

Interested in possibly attending the ETSU ceramics program? ETSU has a Border County program that lets North Carolina residents in Ashe, Avery, Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Watauga and Yancey counties (and Virginia residents in Grayson, Lee, Scott and Washington counties) attend at the in-state tuition rate: http://www.etsu.edu/admissions/residency/bordercounty.aspx

Thanks again to Lindsay, the ETSU Student Ceramics Association and everyone who came!
