Clay Club this Saturday at Cat Jarosz’s studio!
April Clay Club is this Saturday, April 7th, from 6-8 pm at Cat Jarosz’s studio in Leicester. (Please note the special time.) Thanks to Cat for hosting us!
Cat makes beautifully handcrafted stoneware pottery and she will do a handle demo, including how to pull a great handle and all the steps involved. She’ll also show us her studio and tell us about her work. She is a focus artist at Odyssey Co-Op Gallery this month - check out her work here: https://www.odysseycoopgallery.com/#/catjarosz/
Cat and her husband will be making chili, so bring food and drink to go along with that for our potluck.
Cat is located at 1177 Bear Creek Rd, Leicester NC 28748. Cat says: “my house is off the road but I have brick pillars with white concrete rabbits atop them at the road.” Google maps will get you there: https://goo.gl/maps/ihuTc9rgg892
Carpooling: Mitchell and Yancey folks - let me know if you’re interested in carpooling. Folks from elsewhere who are interested in carpooling - let me know by email, or leave a comment here on this blog post or this Facebook post and we’ll see what we can figure out.
Questions? Contact Cat at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact me at email@example.com or at 828-467-1183.
Clay Club meets at artist studios and other locations throughout Western North Carolina, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. All potters and ceramic artists are welcome!
