Hot Fudge Sauce



10 TBL butter, melt in medium saucepan
1/2 c cocoa powder, sift into butter and stir until smooth
1 1/2 + or - cup(s) of sugar (This takes quite a bit os sugar. I just keep adding sugar til I get the taste I want. I would start w/ at least 3/4's of a cup.)
4 squares of unsweetened chocolate
1 1/3 c evaporated milk

Add above 3 ingredients to butter mixture.
Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add 2 pinches of salt, cool and add 2 tsp vanilla.

No home should be without this.
Most of the time when I make this it is quite thick, spoons easily out of the jar that way! But sometimes it is rather thin. Can never figure it out.
