March Clay Club: Kazegama kiln firing and opening at The Village Potters in Asheville

March Clay Club will be at The Village Potters in Asheville from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 8th. Thanks to The Village Potters for hosting us!

I’m posting this a little early since, as announced before, there will be a special Kazegama kiln opening during Clay Club and clubbers are invited to participate in the firing. Here again are the details on how to participate:

Use Cone 10 clay. Keep it to smaller works (mugs, tumblers, small bowls/vases - 6-8" tops), and liner glazes only, flashing slips if they have them but no outside glazes. We'll wad here, and open the kiln and have a de-wadding party at Clay Club! Drop off works at The Village Potters between February 22nd - March 1st.

The Village Potters are located at Riverview Station in Asheville’s River Arts District at:

191 Lyman Street, #180
Asheville, NC 28801

Directions available here: thevillagepotters.com/where-to-find-us/ (or use the Clay Club Studios Map)

We will have the usual potluck, so bring food to share. Clay Club is BYOB, so bring drink, too.
