Toe River Studio Tour this weekend!
The 25th Annual Toe River Studio Tour runs from June 1-3, Friday through Sunday, from 10am to 5pm all three days. Guide booklets are available from both galleries and in venues around the region in May and can also be downloaded (link below). For more information about the exhibition, call 828-765-0520 or the administration office at 828-682-7215.
From May 12 through the last day of the tour on June 3, the Spruce Pine Gallery at 269 Oak Avenue, mounts a participant artist exhibit that gives visitors an opportunity to plan their route — a great place to begin the tour or take a break from a day of non-stop art and artists. And on the first evening of the tour, artists lock their studio doors, visitors park their cars and converge at the Spruce Pine facility for a free “meet-the-artist” reception from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Clay Club meets at artist studios and other locations throughout Western North Carolina, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. All potters and ceramic artists are welcome! Look for details about the meetings here on the blog or contact Amy Waller at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
