Studio Wren

I also have been finding nests.  I was packing up boxes on Friday and didn't put away my packing materials. By Sunday a couple Wrens had built this nest.  I don't have the heart to move it, besides,  I like them flying in and out of my window. Good company.

I have an outside studio and occasionally I notice pairs of marks left on rims by little bird feet; always 3 toe marks on one side, and one on the other. I used to wipe them away completely, but often I just smooth them up a bit and leave them. But the "presents" they rarely leave inside are a completely different story.
