Call for Artists
Red Carpet Artist of the Year Show
February 2 to March 16, 2018
Tryon Arts and Crafts School would like to extend an invitation for entries into our elegant Red Carpet Artist of the Year Show in the Best Supporting Artist category. Emerging or professional craft artists working in a variety of media and disciplines are invited to submit one piece. We are looking for outstanding art in all categories from jewelry, fiber, pottery, glass, forge, wood, collage, painting, photography and more. The piece must be predominantly red (80%) with a small amount of white, black, gray and/or silver.
Take-in dates for the show are Friday, January 19, through Saturday, January 27, between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Artists may submit 1 piece. Please note: no entries will be accepted after 1pm on January 27 without prior approval by Kai Hamilton.
The exhibit will open in the Gallery at Tryon Arts & Crafts School on Friday, February 2, with a Red Carpet Gala from 6-8:30pm. "Peoples' Choice" prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening.
Clay Club meets at artist studios and other locations throughout Western North Carolina, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. All potters and ceramic artists are welcome! Look for details about the meetings here on the blog or contact Amy Waller at email@example.com for more info.
