Clay Club on Wednesday! (with oil spot glazing, wood-fired pizza, and carpooling updates)

Clay Club is this Wednesday at John Britt Pottery! Thanks again to John for hosting us.

Details:

When: 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 10th

What: oil spot glazing session for the upcoming oil spot firing. If you’re participating in the glazing, John has brushes, but you might want to bring your own. You might also consider waxing your pieces ahead of time if you want.

John will have his wood-fired pizza oven running during the meeting. He’ll provide the dough, sauce and cheese - bring your preferred toppings (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, etc.). Please bring additional food items (sides, salads, desserts, etc.), too, to go with the pizza for the potluck. Clay Club is BYOB, so bring drink, too.

Carpooling: during December Clay Club, we talked about trying to better coordinate carpooling from in and around Asheville for meetings that are held in other places. Duffy Baum is driving from Weaverville and has space for one more person. She is coming early for more glazing time - if that might work for you, contact Duffy at duffwhazzup@gmail.com. Anyone else in the greater Asheville area who is interested in carpooling (if you’re driving and have room for additional people or if you're looking for a ride): let me know by email (amy@amywallerpottery.com), or leave a comment here on this post or on this post on Facebook and we’ll see what we can coordinate.
