Cadagon/ Teapot


Made a Cadagon tea pot. Kinda like the salt shaker idea.








You go down to the wheel head and then throw the center up to almost closed "V". Then you throw the body of the teapot. You just need the interior "V" to be high enough to contain some liquid.





Then close it off and when it dries, trim the excess and add a spout. You can also add a face on the side.

I need to make some of those. The salt shakers are some of my favorite things to make.

How large is that piece, approx.? How much clay do you start out with?
What size do you leave the hole in the little cone?

I make it about 8 " high and round. About 3 pounds of clay??

He hole is bigger than the salt shaker. 1/4" - 1/2"??
