Murrey firing

We finally fired the new kiln at Mark Murrey's in Boone. We started building the kiln last fall as part of a kiln building class at App State. It went pretty slow mainly because we only worked on it 2.5 hours each week weather permitting. We eventually got it finished this spring. We loaded Friday and fired Saturday. It went very well- about 10 hours to a solid cone 10-11. We will unload Wednesday and I'll post some pics of that.
