Free Demo and Lecture in Roswell GA

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick a note to let you know that Bryce Brisco will present a FREE exhibition, demonstration and lecture on October 12th and 13th at Art Center West. 

 Bryce will be installing his show Saturday morning to be on view during and after his demonstrating from 2 – 5 pm on Saturday the 12th. The 3 hour wheel demo will be followed by an hour break in which participants will be encouraged to view his new works that will be installed in Art Center West Gallery. 

 The night will be capped with a lecture from 6 - 7 pm titled Weird Function, or the Nasty Bits of History: Toilet, Table and Tomb. This talk looks at vessels made by potters that address functional uses other than those related to food and drink. The history of Face Jugs, Bed Pans, Gravemarkers and Witchbottles will all be discussed, as well as many others. Sunday morning we will return to the wheel demonstration and Bryce will finish the work that was made the day prior.
