APM is hosted by us-folks at McDowell Arts Council Association & The Blue Ridge Traveler!

Are you a pottery nerd? Collector? Newbie? Looking for unique and beautiful Christmas gifts? Or maybe you are ready and willing to check out the wide variety of work within a regional heritage art form you've never considered before! Treat yourself...Appalachian Potters Market is the place to be :) Spend the first weekend in December with us and see what it is all about. We host 60+ Regional North Carolina Potters every year and always find the best functional, decorative, and even silly pieces of pottery and ceramics art to enjoy or gift to friends and loved ones!

This year our Featured Potter is Brenda Schramm of Flame Pottery Boone, NC

The awesome folks at Bruce's Fabulous Foods join us every year on-site so you can grab a great local lunch while you shop.

APM has 31 years of history and tradition to share, through 60+ North Carolina potters. Admission is just $5.00 (we take cash or card at both entrances..though cash makes for a shorter wait-time in line for everyone) Free admission for those 16 yrs old or younger :)

Hours: 10:00 am until 4:00 pm
Cost: $5 per person
Directions: I-40/Exit 73/Old Fort

North on Catawba Avenue to US Hwy. 70, turn right driving approximately 10.7 miles to McDowell High School Road. At stoplight, turn right, driving onto campus. Parking and high school entrances are on the right.
