Greetings Clay Club,


The return of the Bowl-o-thon is here! Hope you can join us for the empty bowl make-a-thon for 2 Saturdays in the Clay Studio at Penland School of Craft!


Come out for one or both!


This annual event occurs to help support the local food banks in Mitchell and Yancey County.


Wheels are available for experienced throwers, Hand builders are welcome too! 


The goal is to make as many bowls as possible. 

Help us spread the word. Bring a potter friend!


What to bring: 

  • Your favorite clay tools & apron (clay will be provided) 

  • Pack a lunch or bring snacks to share

  • Contact Susan Feagin: clay@penland.org if you need directions or have any questions.

  • It will be an open studio so please feel free to come and go during the time.

  • For those able and interested, Glaze-a-thon is Saturday, Feb 14 from 10 AM until we finish, which is usually by lunch time.


Schedule:


Feb 7th: 

10-12:30 Wheel Throwing

12:30-1:30 Lunch

1:30-4 Trim

February 14th:

10-4 Glaze-a-thon (may end closer to lunchtime)
