Dueling NC Wood Kilns

Michael Kline and Courtney Martin fired off their wood kilns today. Cold, rainy, windy day up there on Snow Creek Rd. They were texting each other to see who had the hotter cones falling. Classic. I showed up just to chat and shoot pictures. Looks like these two kiln loads will just make the upcoming TRAC tour deadline. Hopefully the snow will wait for next week to fall.

I'm not sure what you were competing for... but i'm pretty sure Courtney won because of Jaz's vigilance in protecting the door of the kiln. It's an important job in any firing... and can only increase ones odds of winning. ;)
