Square Market

Is anybody using Square Market (from the Square smart-phone credit card reader company) for online sales? Has a few issues (search needs some refinement, for example, and I haven't figured out a good way to deal with variable sales tax rates like we have with in-state North Carolina sales), but I love its simplicity of design and overall ease of use. Link below - would be interested to know what others think.

I used square but no longer use it. Though it is easy to use with customers, it starting charging me random charge backs. It is impossible to speak with a human being there in customer service. Kafka like responses to my questions led to months of frustration. Finally, I was able to get square to restore the funds to my bank account.
I searched for another online processing - not nearly as convenient but people are there to work with.

I used square but found that Paypal Here charges a bit less. Money goes into your account ASAP. I have had no issues at all.

I use Paypal Here also and I am very happy. They not only charge a bit less but gave me a debit card that gives me cash back on my purchases. I won't get rich using it but every dollar counts.

Just to respond to the first two comments - I've been using Square for a couple years and other than having to wait a while to get my card reader (they got overwhelmed with requests when they first started), I haven't had any problems.

Also wanted to add that Square has a focus on local businesses, and you can set up a page on the Square Market website to promote your local, in-person business, without any online sales component. This includes businesses that don't have a physical location for customers, like craftspeople who sell at fairs. I think this could be interesting if they work out some of the search issues.

Still interested to know if anyone has any feedback about the online Square Market, though, especially with all the uproar over Etsy's recent changes (probably a whole other topic there).

Anyone know if you can upload more than one image per item? One image of my item does not for for me..

I think that's right, just one photo per listing - I get how that might not work for everyone. I think you can include a link in the item description (maybe to a gallery page with more photos) if that helps, though that could get to be more hassle than it's worth.
