Have you heard that we're building a Kazegama Wind Kiln? We are, and we are in the final days of our Kickstarter to help fund it.
Last week, we announced our 200 Mug Challenge - we're making 200 mugs for one of the first firings, and if we get 200 donations at the $60 mug level, we'll have the kiln built.
We'd like to extend that challenge and invitation to join our community to our fellow potters, with a twist: when you donate at the $60 level, you can put one of YOUR mugs in the kiln, and not only take it, but one of our mugs home as well!
Firings for the mugs are planned for the early Fall, so you have plenty of time to get a mug made and ready, and you are welcome to join us when we load, fire and unload the kiln. And if you're not local to Asheville, NC, you can send us your piece (use the liner glaze/slips of your choice), and we'll send you back two mugs.
We appreciate every drop of support, whether it's a nice, juicy donation or just sharing the links. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch at info @ thevillagepotters.com. Thank you, and we hope to see you down at The Village soon!
Maybe a sign of welcome...or?
