Curator's Talk with Garth Johnson at the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design on February 11

One more chance to hear Garth Johnson this week: he'll be speaking at the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design (CCCD) in downtown Asheville this Thursday, February 11th, at 6:30 pm.

Garth curated the Recorded Matter: Ceramics in Motion exhibit, on display at CCCD until May 21, 2016. (More about the exhibit here: http://www.craftcreativitydesign.org/recorded-matter/)

Here's the description of Thursday's lecture from the CCCD Facebook event page:

This 60-minute multimedia lecture explores the work of a new generation of young artists who grew up with easy access to video and social media. Recent years have seen an explosion of work that uses video to not only document process, but to show the use (and abuse) of the work and extend their studio practice. Warning: THIS LECTURE CONTAINS AN EROTIC POETRY READING that may be unsuitable for some audiences.
