Raine Middleton will be at

In Tandem Gallery 

Saturday,  5-8pm, for her Exhibition's opening!

Raine is a native of the area and currently lives and works in Denver, NC. Though her forms are influenced by traditional NC pottery, Raine's focus is definitely on surface design – taking inspiration from nature with a hint of asian/textile influence. Her wheel thrown, porcelain pots are decorated with a process called sgraffito (carving through a layer of color to the clay body below) and fired in a salt kiln which adds a softness to the surface.
