Join us on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00pm, for a FREE tax and bookkeeping workshop for musicians, artists, and other creative professionals, presented by CPAs from the Asheville accounting firm of Brian C. Hunter, CPA, P.A. in collaboration with the Asheville Area Arts Council and Asheville Music Professionals.

Topics will include: income tax preparation and forms, getting all the available deductions, bookkeeping and record keeping, tax planning, tax structures (LLCs, and corporations), estimated taxes, crowdfunding and taxes, sales taxes, 1099s, etc. Also, the CPAs will be discussing new topics including a big federal tax act and a Supreme Court decision requiring internet retailers, including sellers of art, crafts and music recordings, to collect sales tax for the state to which the goods are shipped. ALL musicians and artists are welcome, from beginners to established pros.
