Applications open for the Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend Arts and Crafts Fair in Waynesville, NC

Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend Arts and Crafts Fair

Saturday and Sunday, August 21st and 22nd

Shelton House, Waynesville NC

Application deadline July 1st

The Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend (BRHW) Arts and Crafts Fair 2021 will be located just 3 blocks from downtown Waynesville (a popular tourist destination) on the grounds of the Shelton Campus. The campus includes the Historic Shelton House and its Museum of NC Handicrafts; the Haywood Historic Farmers Market; and the prestigious HART theatre. On Saturday and Sunday, Shelton House will host the juried BRHW Arts and Crafts Fair and a special exhibit on the history of medicine in Haywood county (held in the barn), Local musicians will provide entertainment on the grounds and food trucks will be strategically placed. On Saturday, the Haywood Historic Farmers Market, which typically attracts 800+ people on its own each week, will offer local fresh farm vegetables, meats, dairy, bakery, food items and other local products. We are hopeful that HART theater will be open to live performances again by August. Check their website for show and ticket information. Attendance at the 3rd Annual Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend is potentially very large, with 2,500+ people expected on Saturday alone.
