Recap: November Clay Club

So glad for all that were able to join us for November Clay Club. Thanks to ETSU art and design for hosting us at their ceramics studio for an enlightening presentation by Steve Blankenbecker from Taylor Clay. Steve shared outstanding insights into his strategies for locating quality clays in the region. His detailed exploration of how to identify areas to dig wild clay and the use of reference materials to uncover clay holes from past generations of potters was both fascinating and educational.

Steve's presentation went beyond theoretical knowledge, delving into practical applications by detailing specific clays he has discovered.

We left feeling inspired and equipped with newfound knowledge.

Once again, thank you to ETSU for your hospitality, and a special appreciation to Steve Blankenbecker for his engaging and informative presentation.

We look forward to future collaborations and the continued exchange of knowledge within the clay community!
