 Creatures in Clay: Exploring Pottery and Animal Artistry with Charlie Tefft: July 12th-14th

oin ceramic artist, Charlie Tefft for an immersive workshop that celebrates the beauty and wonder of the animal world.  The first day and a half students will make one or multiple personal drape molds using light weight foam board.  After that we will delve into the world of painting on functional pottery.  There will be in-depth demonstrations and guidance using brushes with underglazes and homemade washes as well as coating the pots with a variety of sprayed glazes.  Throughout the workshop students will develop technical skills, as well as deepen their appreciation for the natural world.

 

This workshop is developed for potters looking to improve their skill level and experienced ceramicists looking to expand their repertoire of surface treatments. Come ready to be inspired, to let your creativity sore, and to create stunning pottery pieces that pay homage to the beauty and spirit of the animal kingdom.

Fee: $515. This fee includes the workshop, materials provided by the instructor, and a $20 non refundable registration fee.
