Penland hosting annual Community Open House Day this Saturday, Feb 22 from 1 PM to 5 PM

Each winter, Penland hosts our Community Open House, where visitors are invited to try free hands-on activities in our teaching studios, led by studio coordinators and assisted by over 100 volunteers. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the studios firsthand, as they are closed to the public when school is in session.  

Media include glass, iron, clay, metals, textiles, printmaking, wood, paste painting, drawing, bookmaking, and more. The event is free and folks of all ages are welcome. There is a food truck, and the school store is open during the event.

When you arrive on campus, you will be greeted, given a map and overview of activities, and guided to parking. 

Shuttles run from parking areas to the main campus. 

There are accessible parking spots on main campus.
