The BEST Glaze Class EVER !

I wanted to repost this announcement:

I am having a glaze class at The Bascom in Highland NC July 14-18, 2014. It is going to be a great class!  We have 14 so far but I want to get 16 or more because it is better to have more testers and more clay and glaze knowledge in the room!

Everyone will will testing three bases on three clay bodies in multiple firing (cone 05 , cone 6 reduction and oxidation and cone 10 reduction). This will give us THOUSANDS of results which we will examine together to try to understand. To do this yourself would take about 2 months of sustained work and will will do it in a fun atmosphere with plenty of laughing!!  If you know of anyone who is interested please pass this on!

This is the last class of this kind I will be running this year so don't miss out!  It will make all your dreams come true.

Upcoming Glaze Class in Western NC

Yo Potters.....Anyone what to learn more about glazes?

I am having a workshop at the Bascom Center for Visual Arts in Highlands NC , July 14- 18, 2014.  It is the last workshop of this kind for the year.  A few spots are still open.

We are trying to get as many people in as possible so we can maximize the tests we are doing. It will be a lot of fun and you will learn a lot. This is the workshop you have been waiting for!  Take charge of your glazes.

Don't procrastinate another day in learning what you need to get the results you want!!

That is a oxidation soda fired tile of some magnesium matte glaze...I think it was Haynes Matte at cone 9/10 with 0.5% cobalt carbonate. This type of glaze is very sensitive to heat so getting it to come out this way consistently is a challenge.
