Yunomi cone 6 electric
Starting to like this cone 6 electric business.
Yunomi, John Britt, 4" x 3" x 3", Frost cone 6 porcelain clay with Newman Terra Sigillata and Matt Black #2 glaze, electric cone 6 fast fire.
Very nice combination John. Love the Newman red terra sig. I've been thinking about switching to cone 6 one of these days but want to use a light body. I thought I'd need to use an iron slip to give me an earthenware look, but I think the Newman red terra sig is a great option.
June, I got m ine from Laguan Clays. Called Laterite Red Clay in the Dry Materials sections. It is the clay John Neely used at Utah State for all their reduction cooling stuff. great stuff!

I also used Laterite and ball milled it for 2 hours. Easy sig!
btw...how do i get my site url on your links to webpages ? http://MaggieJones.com
Where did you dig up, or buy laterite?
No ball mill here, so I have to go the traditional terr sig making route.
