Eric Knoche Workshop
Asheville resident, Eric Knoche has established himself as a
premier ceramic sculptor capturing the drama of wood firing on his graceful
forms. Knoche’s command of slab
and coil hand building has allowed him to produce works of impressionable
scale. Covered in layers of slips
his sculptures act as canvases to document his comprehensive understanding of
the wood firing process. The
generous and dynamic forms have a strong response to the beautiful mountains of
Western North Carolina where Knoche maintains his studio.
