Vintage "Mineral Map of Spruce Pine Area"

Found this “Mineral Map of Spruce Pine Area” and “Safety Tips for Rockhounds” brochure in a used book I bought. No date on either one, but the safety tips brochure was published by the North Carolina Department of Labor and names T. Avery Nye, Jr. as commissioner. Nye was commissioner from 1975-1977. The map is compliments of D.O. Blevins Sons, Spruce Pine, N.C., Marketers Sinclair Products, and includes this message: “Welcome to the Spruce Pine area. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. For good courteous service stop at your Sinclair Dealer. He will be glad to furnish you with any information you might need.”
