April and May Clay Club: Saturday meeting and Clay Olympics!

Here’s what’s coming up in April and May:

April Clay Club will be at Cat Jarosz’s studio in Leicester on Saturday, April 7th from 6-8pm. I’ll post more details closer to the date, but please note the special time and make plans to join us!

May Clay Club will be at The Village Potters in Asheville on Wednesday, May 9th from 6-8pm. Lori Theriault and the rest of The Village Potters are organizing a Clay Olympics. (It’s been a while since we’ve done this - check out the first Clay Club Clay Olympics here: http://ncclayclub.blogspot.com/2013/01/clay-olympics-at-odyssey-center-for.html) The Olympics will have an Empty Bowls theme, and one hope is that folks will commit to making bowls for Empty Bowls events (either the Asheville Empty Bowls in September or another Empty Bowls event in your area). Judges will include Alisa Hixson from MANNA FoodBank and Melissa Weiss.

We need sponsors for prizes for Clay Olympics winners! If you’re interested, please let me know (amy@amywallerpottery.com).

Thanks to Cat, Lori and everyone who’s involved in organizing and hosting these meetings!
