Potters of the Blue Ridge Teapot Challenge Tea Party on March 14th

The Potters of the Blue Ridge have invited Clay Clubbers to join them next Wednesday, March 14th, for their annual Tea Party. (This is happening at our usual meeting time and will take the place of a regular meeting for us this month.) Thanks to Cindy Pacileo, Bob Meier and all the Potters of the Blue Ridge for inviting us!

Potters of the Blue Ridge members will be unveiling the 13 teapots they made for their Teapot Challenge. They each made a teapot body, handle, spout and lid from cone 6 clay, then exchanged parts so they got none of their own, took them home and crafted a teapot out of mismatched parts. The teapots will auctioned off at Watauga High School's annual Empty Bowls event benefiting their local food bank.

The tea party will take place next Wednesday, March 14th, at 6 pm at Doe Ridge Pottery Gallery and Studio in Boone. Please bring hearty finger foods and drink to share.

Doe Ridge Pottery Gallery and Studio is located at 585 West King Street, Suite D in Boone. The studio is right downtown, with free parking after 5 in the lot beside and behind the studio. The main entrance is on King Street and down a flight of stairs, but it's easier to park in the lower part of the parking lot next door and come in the back door.
