Pot Shots

I need to invest in some gear for taking photos. I've got the camera at least. It's been a long time since I took my photo classes and it was (mostly) predigital.
Could some of you show us your set ups? Backdrops, lights, soft boxes etc??

I bought one of those EZ Cube setups from Ebay. You get the foldable light box and two lamps; and I bought the graduated background from them as well. It's super easy to setup.
Mine came with a 30" cube and a bonus, smaller cube, which I guess is used a lot by ebay sellers for small items like jewelry and other collectibles. It folds down flat for easy storage.
You're welcome to come over and see and try mine. I have it setup on my dining room table at the moment since I've been taking a lot of pictures of pots to post on my blog.

June's setup sounds way easier than mine which I learned in college. Things have probably improved a great deal since then. I have a large roll of grey paper which I have to attach to the wall. Then I set up a floor lamp and a couple of industrial looking clip lights. Then I hang some kind of sheer fabric from the ceiling in front of the lights...you get the picture. You should come over some time. It's quite a spectacle.

June, that sounds like what I have in mind I'll check it out.

Kari, that's what we did in school too. I've tried it lately, but I just have too much glare from all the windows unless I work at night.

I have a Varitone back drop and just some lights on the side and it seems to work well,
