Call for Bowls!
The Dig In! Empty Bowl event will take place this year on October 6.
We are still hoping for about 100 more bowls!
Dig In! Yancey Community Garden’s works within our community in
Yancey County to grow and share from our gardens so that everyone
can eat well. Our garden is a hands-on learning site to teach, inspire,
and empower people in Yancey County to grow their own food, and all
of the food grown at the garden is shared directly with the community.
Our collaborative food sharing programs serve hundreds of families
each week.
Most of our bowls are single serving size, but larger bowls or other items
are also wonderful, and we put a higher ticket price on some items as
appropriate. (So feel free to send things other than soup bowls)
The regular drop off locations are the Yancey Library in Burnsville, and
Maples Coffee Shop in Micaville.
Please include business cards if you would like.
