I make a lot of lotion pumps using that screw top mold system. I've found it much easier to punch the hole in the screw top while it is still in the mold right after I press the clay in. I use the other end of the tool with a little WD-40 on it to punch the hole. Then let it dry slightly and screw it out of the mold. Seems not to distort them as bad. I keep a lot of the tops made up and bisqued fired. When I glaze my lotion pumps I just set the bisqued collar in the still wet glaze on top of the pump base.

Is this container able to keep the beer inside? Bubbles are quite aggresive.

John, you need to make up some old fashioned beer label decals. I have an old copier at work that uses toner with 95% iron oxide. Or so the MSDS says. Some sepia decals would be cool. Just sayin'.

I'm looking on Axner and it seems they don't carry these anymore. Any idea where else I can find a way to thread a piece?

The piece I have looks like someone took a two liter pop bottle and stuck it in a slab of clay with a small 3/8" - 1/2" cut out of 2 1/2" round PVC pipe and then poured in plaster. They then "unscrewed" it to get it off.
