Digital Photo Cautionary Tale

Yo Clay Clubbers,

Just a cautionary tale about a potter who had backed up their computer regularly and had all their digital photos and files on cd's next to the computer, when a fire started because of a faulty surge protector plug strip.

Well as you can imaging the computer burnt up as well as the back up of all her photos! Yes I said, ALL of her photos, going back to the beginning of her work.
So back up your images, and files for that matter, and either put a copy in a safe deposit box or send one to a family or friend for safe keeping.

Better safe than sorry.

Way to much to loose!

Free advise from your digital source,

John Britt

Or better yet back up online.

Most folks I know who have large digital media collections have two different online back up solutions. Just in case one of the online services has a problem.

Any way that works! Procrastination is the trouble. Even one back up is better than none!

Oh wow, good idea. All my backup photos are right here next to the computer!

There are also lots of other ways to do it, like on your website or google, etc.

Clayart just posted a bunch if you need them.
