Firing Results

I fired my first cone 6 reduction load this weekend and am loving the results. The firing went smoothly and all in all I'm pleased as punch. I'm going to review my notes and perhaps consider some changes. I actually had more than enough work for the kiln and am going to fire another cone 6 Wednesday. The only disappointment was with one glaze that was smoking at John's but turned out U-G-L-Y in my kiln.

Don't these look like cone 10?

It was a Val Cushing base with 3 RIO and 4 Titanium. I'm firing again tomorrow and retesting my results just to be sure. The other glazes I mixed look distinctly different but good.
